The Tashkent - Khiva high-speed train

Starting from May 2, 2026, a new high-speed train “Jaloliddin Manguberdi” will operate between Tashkent and Khiva.

Travel time is around 7-8 hours.

Previously, the journey took 14-15 hours.

This is the most convenient option with no transfers.

Tickets should be booked in advance, ideally 30-45 days before travel.

Other ways to get there

A flight to Urgench takes about 1.5 hours.

Then 30-40 minutes by car to Khiva.

This is the fastest option but more expensive.

Night trains are cheaper but take longer - about 14-15 hours.
