The Ayrlington

The Ayrlington, a luxury Victorian guesthouse, was built of golden Bath stone in 1874 by architect J. Elkinton Gill. This handsome, listed property offers exceptional views of Bath and its medieval abbey. It is conveniently located within a 5-10 minute level stroll of Bath's historic sites, specialty shops, and excellent restaurants, including the Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge, and Bath Abbey. Bath Spa Rail Station is also less than a 15-minute walk away. The guesthouse is set within beautiful, award-winning oriental gardens, which received a Silver-Gilt certificate at the 2014 Bath in Bloom awards and feature a 10th-century statue.

The Ayrlington offers 19 individually decorated guestrooms, each with a unique theme and luxurious furnishings, some featuring four-poster beds, private entrances, and antique furniture. Rooms are equipped with Egyptian cotton bed linens, complimentary WiFi, an iPod dock/DAB radio, LCD TV with digital programming, safes, and coffee/tea makers. Private bathrooms include showers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Selected rooms also offer a balcony or terrace, refrigerator, and bathrobes. Daily housekeeping and room service are provided.

A freshly cooked breakfast, including full English and vegetarian options, is available daily for a fee, served in the elegant dining room overlooking the award-winning gardens. An elegant lounge bar is available for beverages and evening entertainment. Additional amenities include a cozy lobby fireplace, tour/ticket assistance, a picnic area, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Secure on-site parking is available for an additional £10 per day. Complimentary Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the property.

The Ayrlington is entirely non-smoking and does not accept children under five years of age. Please note, the property is closed during Ramadan.
